Graveside services for Ron Fogle, 83, of Chariton, Iowa were held August 8, 2012 at the Chariton Cemetery. Open visitation was held on August 7 at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Ronald LaVerne Fogle was born March 1, 1929 in rural Lucas County at the family home near Norwood to Harry and Nellie Pennington Fogle. He attended school at Norwood and high school in Chariton graduating in 1946. He served in the Army in Korea from 1951 until 1953. After coming home he married Lois DeBok on April 12, 1953 in Russell, Iowa. They were blessed with three children: Gary, Diane, and Dennis.
Ron drove a truck as an owner operator for many years and was an over the road driver for several different companies. He loved spending time on the farm they owned for over 20 years.
Ron passed away August 6, 2012 at the age of 83 years at the Legacy Lodge in Chariton.
