Cynthia L Clark Obituary




 Cynthia Clark, age 66, of Ames, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Cynthia Lynn Clark was born August 1, 1955, to Robert and Juanita (Grove) Clark. She graduated from Chariton High School, and later earned her certification as a nurse's aide and was employed by various nursing homes over the years.

Cynthia was a caretaker and healer at heart. She possessed a kind, gentle, wise, and caring soul and always seemed able to express the right words at just the right time. She was beautiful inside and out and will be remembered for her fierce willingness to stand up for others.

Survivors include her daughter, Heather (Robert Allen) Clark of Ames; three grandsons, Cassady Yates, Kaden Clark, and Zane Allen; three brothers, Steven Chamberlain of Chariton, Patrick (Terry Ann) Clark of Elkhart, and Gary Chamberlain of Des Moines; and one sister, Terri Clark of Des Moines. She was a second mom to Stacey Clark and many other special nieces and nephews.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Robert Clark; her mother, Juanita Chamberlain; and two brothers, John Chamberlain and Bobby Clark.

Ames Monument & Cremation Center has been entrusted with the care of Cynthia and her family.

Ron Carr Obituary



 Ronald Dean Carr was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Elmer and Madeline Carr.  In 1951, Ron listed in the Navy, he was stationed on the U.S.S. Carp. Ron obtained his high school diploma while in the service. He was Honorably Discharge in 1954, with a Korean Service ribbon, United Nations ribbon, and National Defense ribbon.  After being discharged Ron and Chris met at a roller rink in Ottumwa, Iowa. They later got married, lived on a beautiful farm in Russell , Iowa where they raised their son Jeremy and where he lived until he passed away and Chris is still residing there.  Ron and Chris owned and operated the  Firestone in Chariton, Iowa for several years.  Then they decided to sell real estate also in Chariton, Iowa. During their retirement years they would have coffee with friends every morning to catch up on everything that goes on around town.

On August 30, 2021, Ron had passed away at Mercy-One Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Ron is survived by his wife Chris, son Jeremy (Andrea) Carr from Albia, Iowa.
