As a water well driller with Layne Texas Company, Bob continued his adventures traveling and working throughout North America and Central America.  He retired from Aquilla Water District at the age of 85.  It was in Russell, Iowa while drilling a well, that he met his true love, Sue Reynolds.  They were married at a Methodist church in Des Moines, Iowa on November 4, 1956.  Bob and Sue recently celebrated 64 years of love and marriage.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mary Yarbro; daughter, Tracy Lynn Yarbro; son, Michael Glen Yarbro; grandson, Mac Griffith; brother, Bud Yarbro; and sister, Raenell Lamson.

Bob will always be remembered for his entertaining stories, his dedication to organic living and gardening, his gentleness, his integrity, and most of all for the love and devotion he gave abundantly to his family.

Per his final wishes, memorial and graveside services will be delayed until Spring when social distancing is attainable and the risks of COVID transmission is reduced.  As in life, his concerns for the health and wellbeing of family and friends always eclipsed his own needs.  Further announcements will be forthcoming as to when all may gather safely to celebrate Bob’s life.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Woodbury Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 1527, Hillsboro, TX 76645.

Edgar Eugene Enterline Obituary

July 3, 1959 ~ December 29, 2020 (age 61

Edgar Eugene Enterline, son of Boyd and Rilla Fern (Church) Enterline, was born July 3, 1959 in Corydon, Iowa.  He grew up in Des Moines and Lacona. He graduated in 1978 from the Liberty Center high school.

Edgar (Trip) was united in marriage to Rhonda Kay Dixson in 1979. They were blessed with two children, Rilla Suzanne and Joshua John. Edgar worked at Johnson’s Machine Works before doing what he wanted to do most, work as a self- employed mechanic and then finally working for Pella Corporation for 17 years before his heath took a turn for the worst. Losing his eyesight was his greatest regret because he could no longer see to work on cars. He loved it when friends came over to ask his advice on how to fix a car and they would spend hours telling stories of all the escapades him and his friends got into when they were younger. He spoke often of his friends Bobby and Scott and even Patty could talk him into attending a class meeting once in a while. We are grateful to all the prayer warriors who upheld this family, visited when they were able and to a special friend Al who became our miracle.

Edgar is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rhonda, his daughter, Rilla Suzanne Enterline (James Hannah) and son, Joshua John Enterline.

His brother, Todd(Mary)Enterline of Lucas, Sisters-in-law Janice (Ron) Adams of Johnston, Bonnie Hammond, Donnell Snider of Chariton, Brothers-in Law Rodney (Carol) Dixson of Chariton, Alan (Sheila) Dixson of Lampe , MO, and Harry (Evelyn)Dixson of LaFayette, Georgia along with many  other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Boyd and Fern Enterline, parents-in –law Donald and Rita Dixson, and Grand-niece Emma Joy Armer.

A Celebration of Life and Internment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Family.
