SUMTER, SC-Steven Wayne Hornaday, 66, died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at his home.
Born June 19, 1954, in Centerville, IA, he was the son of the late Milford Hornaday and the late Freda Gorden Hornaday. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and from the Civil Service at Shaw Air Force Base. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include four sisters, Jan Hornaday Anderson (Dean) of New Virginia, IA, Barbara Hornaday Haggard (Bill) of Port Byron, IL, Ruth Hornaday Ewing of Patterson, IA, and Rita Hornaday Hanson of Hampton, IL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Katheryn Hornaday and Julie Ann Hornaday.
Services will be private.
Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
