Kimberly Louise (Schumann) Sellers, 53, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 with her family at her side.
Kim was born on November 6, 1963 to Gary Schumann and Joyce (McVey) Schumann at Yocum Hospital in Chariton, Iowa. Kim grew up in the Russell, Iowa area with her parents and her sister Karla. Kim attended the Russell school system, graduating in 1982 with salutatorian honors.
After graduation Kim entered the work force with several part time jobs, including the Hy-Vee distribution center offices. She soon became full time in the human resources department where she later became warehouse payroll coordinator until her retirement on May 5, 2017. During that time Kim met Jay Sellers and they were married on February 14, 1997 in Des Moines, Iowa. Also, at that time, Kim became a loving mother to Wendy, Amanda, and Clint.
Kim lived her entire adult life in the Chariton area. With Jay, they built their home in the country where she loved watching her hummingbirds and deer. She enjoyed her flowers and garden, along with feeding the birds and stray cats. No one was to go hungry! Kim’s greatest enjoyment and love was for her family. She spent most of her time taking care of Jay and the kids. When it came to the grandkids her patience, time, and love was endless! She was a very dedicated, generous, honest, and caring person to all who knew her.
