Loretta Ann Bequeaith, 73, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the Lucas County Hospital in Chariton, Iowa. Loretta was born September 13, 1943 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada to Stirling Randolf Eastvold and Frances Frame (Scott) Eastvold, she was the middle of three children. Loretta resided in Moose Jaw until moving to eastern Iowa with her family around the age of 8 years old.
Loretta moved after graduation to Davenport, Iowa where she met the love of her life Richard Bequeaith and they were married on October 21, 1962 in Calamus, Iowa. They were blessed with a son Richard Scott.
Loretta loved to shop, having a great sense for fashion and coordinating styles and colors. She was always dressed meticulously. She did not enjoy cooking and said “The way to a women’s heart was a good restaurant, especially Red Lobster”. She claimed the only reason she had a kitchen was it came with the house.
Loretta was very kind hearted, loyal and would help anyone. She often spoke her mind and never saw a stranger.
Loretta was preceded in death by her father and mother and step mother Gertrude McCune. Left to cherish her memories are husband Richard, Son Richard Scott (Jacque) of Davenport, Iowa, grandson Steven Ohland of Colorado, whom she always had a close relationship with, her brother Stirling (Caryle) Eastvold of Dewitt, Iowa, sister Kary (Roger) Blunk of Russell, Iowa and many more extended family and friends.
