Mary E. Isley Obituary


Mary Ellin (Brees) Isley of Knoxville, Iowa, formerly of Russell, Iowa, passed away on March 5, 2013 at the Comfort House Hospice of Pella, Iowa.  Mary was born December 19, 1933, daughter of Walter and Ruth (Kelley) Brees.  She attended Blaine Grade School, north of Knoxville and attended High School in Knoxville, Iowa.  She married Chester D. Isley, May 5, 1951 at Elizabeth City, North  Carolina.  They were blessed with two children, Don Isley and Nancy (Isley) Kinsey.  Mary spent 14 years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Lucas County Hospital in Chariton, and 2 years at Casey's.  Mary went to be with Chet her husband of 47 years, her parents, twin infant sisters Jane and June, and sister Esther Woolridge.  She is survived by her son, Chester Donald Ivey Jr. of Perry,daughter Nancy Kinsey of Lovilla, four grandchildren; Ashlee (John) Davis of Hamilton, IA, Chelsee Kinsey of Denver, Colorado, Angelica and Terry Isley of Perry.Mary was blessed with 2 great grandchildren, Braxton and Taylor Davis of Hamilton, Iowa whom she loved dearly.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.  Mary's family was the love of her life.  Mary loved going to the kid's ballgames, grandchildren basketball and softball games.  She had a love for country music and was a huge Elvis Presley fan.  She liked gardening and flowers, and enjoyed dancing with Chet.  She will be greatly missed by all.  Until we meet again, I love you all dearly.
