Funeral Services for James “Jim” Wright, 90, of rural Russell, Iowa, will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. A luncheon will be held following the service for a time of continued fellowship.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7th, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton.
A private burial will be at the Bethel Cemetery.
Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Judi; children, Gene (Paula) Wright, and Mary (Ed) Nichols; brother, Alvin Wright; grandchildren: Alison Wright, Ashley (Kevin) Wright Shannon, Jessica (Sean) Eikenberry, Alex (Alexis) Wright, Lindsay (Nick) McCullough, and Josh Nichols; great grandchildren: Isabella, Charlie, Taylor, Owen, Maxwell, Langan, James, and one on the way; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Isabel; and an infant daughter, Kathy Lea.
